Our Commitment to Sustainability
Building a better future through responsible energy, empowered communities, and environmental care —
sustainability is at the heart of how we grow.

At Hawks, sustainability begins with the way we operate. From tracking CO₂ emissions across our fleet to integrating energy-efficient technologies and optimizing resource use across offices and vessels, we are building a business that respects the planet. Every operational choice is made with care—to minimize waste, conserve resources, and preserve the environments that sustain us.

We believe that trust is built through transparency. That’s why our governance model goes beyond compliance, embedding anti-bribery protocols, financial accountability, and ethical sourcing across our global operations. As we expand further internationally, we’re committed to setting the standard for how the fuel and bunkering industry does business—with fairness, honesty, and integrity at its core.

Our people are our greatest asset. We foster a culture of respect, equal opportunity, and safety, ensuring the well-being of every team member. Beyond our workforce, we contribute to the communities we operate in, supporting local initiatives and providing growth opportunities. Through education, welfare programs, and community engagement, we aim to make a positive impact that extends far beyond business.

We are committed to helping our customers transition to a more sustainable future by providing energy solutions that prioritize efficiency, innovation, and environmental responsibility. Through continuous improvement and strategic initiatives, we support a cleaner, greener tomorrow.

As a local family business, we believe we can contribute to positive and sustainable developments for the benefit of our society. Since its incorporation in 2007, the company has been addressing challenges in a range of key focus sectors, from education, environment, sports and the economy. We have undertaken numerous activities to make a difference for our employees, the local community, and the Maldivian economy. Notably, in 2017, our contributions included the Maldivian Investment Forum Dubai, South Asian Youth Summit in India, and the JCI Maldives Peace Run. In 2018, we contributed to the Millennium Youth Leaders Camp and the Maldives Civil Service Conference, while in 2019, a Cleaning Quest at Rasdhoo was organised.
